Community Guidelines

Updated January 30, 2016.

At Homiee, we like our users to play nice with others and we encourage them to be kind, helpful, intelligent and respectful. Please take a moment to read our community guidelines and keep them in mind when you use Homiee. If you don't follow our guidelines, you risk being banned off the site and all affiliated services.

Don’t be a hater.

Slurs or hate speech, including denigrating comments involving race, sexual orientation, religious or political belief, age, or just about anything else, whether they be personal or general, besides being very uncool, are not allowed.

Respect people’s privacy.

Don’t post any personal information of any other users or third parties unless you have express permission from them to do so. Also, don't use Homiee to intrude on others people privacy. There's enough of that going on by internet companies and governments.

No violence of any kind.

Our rules expressly forbid posting abusive content of any kind, including content of any kind that portrays or encourages violence towards people or animals. Do not encourage others to harm themselves either.

No spamming.

Don’t use fake tags or deceptive links or try to mislead others about the things you post. Don’t use malware or other evil code when you post. Don’t use Homiee as a vehicle for generating revenue for affiliate marketing. No phishing. Don’t follow massive amounts of users for the sole purpose of leading them to your profile.

Respect intellectual property rights.

Don’t post content that belongs to third parties without their consent. Please make sure you have the right to post the content that you put on Homiee. In other words, only post content that you own or have permission to post.

Abide by the Law.

Only post content that is legal, meaning you can’t post content that violates a law, rule or regulation.

Be yourself.

Be yourself, or a version of yourself. Don't do things that would cause confusion between you or your homiee profile and a person or company, like registering a deliberately confusing username or URL. Don't impersonate anyone.

Don’t hurt young people.

Don’t post anything inappropriate about minors, including things that are violent or sexual in nature.

Don’t try to outsmart us.

Homiee is for human beings. It is against the rules to use a computer to register a lot of users on Homiee, or to follow lots of users, or to automate posting. Don’t try to circumvent or compromise our security or access non-public areas of the Homiee website. Don’t use robots or other automated technology to access Homiee. Do not scrape content from Homiee. Don’t try to deceive other users or the public. If someone has blocked you, respect their decision and do not try to communicate with them through an alternative account. Don’t interfere with other users use of Homiee. Don’t intentionally load test our Service or see how much traffic it can handle. Don’t overload our servers with traffic. Don’t upload or distribute viruses or malware to or through Homiee.

If we conclude that you are violating these guidelines, you may receive a notice via email. If you don't explain or correct your behavior, we may take action against your account. We do our best to ensure fair outcomes, but in all cases we reserve the right to suspend accounts, or remove content, without notice, for any reason, but particularly to protect our services, infrastructure, users, and community. We reserve the right to enforce, or not enforce, these guidelines in our sole discretion, and these guidelines don't create a duty or contractual obligation for us to act in any particular manner. We also reserve the right to change these guidelines at any time. So please be nice, homiee.

You can report violations of these guidelines to us directly and we will look into it, and take necessary action as soon as possible. Please note this email is strictly for reporting abuse, and we will not respond to other requests sent here. No spamming, remember?

Thanks for reading all the way. Welcome to Homiee.
